Melissa Gundersen
Bio
My name is Melissa Gundersen and I'm a general assignment news reporter at Blue Ridge Communications TV-13 in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and English from The Pennsylvania State University. While at Penn State, I was often found with a video camera in hand chasing the news. I was awarded the Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Following graduation, I began an internship with BRCTV-13 News and was subsequently hired to stay on as a full time TV-13 news reporter. Now, my days are filled with reporting in the field, writing scripts, editing and putting together news packages.
In my spare time, I enjoy working out, singing, figure skating, dancing and Penn State football. (WE ARE? PENN STATE)!
I'm truly passionate about journalism and am enjoying where life is taking me.
